PADI Staff Instructor Course
As a seasoned PADI Instructor, you have wisdom and experience to share with up-and-coming PADI leaders. And, you know that continuing your education never ends. As an Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor, you help bring up the next generation of PADI Instructors while gaining in-depth instructor-trainer knowledge. Because IDC Staff Instructors are an integral part of the PADI IDC, you set the stage for moving on to PADI Course Director as you present topics in the IDC and help shape PADI Divemasters and Assistant Instructors into PADI Open Water Instructors.
What do you need to start?
To enrol on the program you'll need to be a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)
What will you do?
- Master instructor level dive theory
- Knowledge development teaching presentations
- Confined-water teaching presentations.
- Learn how to conduct IDC presentations.
To qualify as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor:
Two course days plus auditing a complete IDC - 12 days total.

Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
