MV Scuba Sport
Scuba Cat diving is the only dive centre in Phuket that has a purpose built dive boat dedicated to half day trips.
Many dive centres offer half day trip which involve long surface swims from the beach, or noisy and un-shaded local ‘longtail’ boats as a means of transport.
Scuba Cat wants to offer a shorter trip with the same service, as you would get on a daytrip. MV Scuba Sport has 2 decks with a sundeck and shaded area upstairs and a dry cabin, toilet and dive deck and platform.
We can accommodate 14 divers on board comfortably and have a compressor for tank filling and a zodiac for transferring guests from the pier to the boat and for pick up at the end of dives.
MV Scuba Sport is based in Patong bay from November until April where she can cruise to the house reefs at Paradise, Kalim, Kata or KohPu for half day trips.
She can also take divers out for night dives during this time.
We do not set a scheduled time for departures, the boat is kept deliberately flexible, so you can plan your diving around other scheduled parts of your holiday.
We offer tea, coffee, Milo and drinking water on board during the trips and have fruit and snacks available. Lunch can be provided if the boat is out for longer than 4 hours.
