Scuba Cat Diving Phuket Thailand, an Internationally owned Dive Center, is a SSI XR Instructor Training Centre. We teach all levels of SSI Scuba Diving Courses, have a dedicated boat for Scuba Diving Day Trips to the best Scuba dive sites around Phuket and Koh Phi Phi Island, Thailand. Our own liveaboard, MV Scuba Adventure operates year round in the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock and all the best Scuba Diving sites in the Andaman Sea, Phi Phi, Koh Haa and Hin Daeng. We can also offer half day trips in the right season.

Extended Range Diving
Scuba Cat Diving Phuket, Thailand teaches XR diving including Gas Blender, XR Nitrox, Advanced Wreck, Cavern and Cave Diving, Technical Extended Range, Trimix, and Rebreather courses up to Instructor level. We also teach TDI courses. Scuba Cat has Nitrox and Trimix diving capabilities and is the only dive center in Phuket to offer the full range of DDI Diving courses up to Instructor level.

SSI Instructor Trainers
SSI Instructor Trainers hold the highest and most respected professional rating in recreational scuba diving. They are among the dive industry’s most influential leaders and role models. Those who join this elite group of professionals pass through a stringent screening process that examines their experience and training just to get into the competitive and demanding Instructor Trainer Seminar. Personality and experience as an instructor are more important than the qualification that enables the person to teach the course.

SSI Instructor Trainer Paul Nebbs
After living in Phuket for 2 years I decided to become a PADI Scuba Instructor and by 2010 i achieved my PADI Master Instructor. In 2014 I crossed over to SSI and in April 2015 became an SSI Instructor Trainer.
Paul can teach almost every type of course offered by SSI; from Scuba Rangers to Extended Range and Professional level, and is currently working to add the few missing courses to this list.

SSI Instructor Trainer Claus Rasmussen
Before getting involved in the dive industry, Claus was working with refugees and asylum seekers through Danish Red Cross and ran his own massage and healthcare company.
He came to Thailand in 2002 where he became a PADI Instructor.
Claus became a PADI Master Instructor in 2005 and has also held Instructor Ratings with other organizations like DAN and PSAI. In 2015 he crossed over to SSI and upgraded to Instructor Trainer Level.
Claus teaches anything from children’s programs and people with disabilities to Technical Diving and Instructor Levels.

SSI Instructor Trainer Daniel Lane
Daniel’s background before he started travelling was in the hospitality trade where he was a personal license holder and Manager of a bar, hotel and restaurant. When he wasn’t working in the bar he spent a lot of his time practicing his piano and guitar skills.
He arrived in Thailand in September 2007 after having travelled for the past 3 years in places such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and most of South East Asia. While he was travelling South East Asia one of the places he went was the Gili Islands in Indonesia and this is where he found the love of diving and got his Open Water licence.
Up until November 2015 he has spent all his time living in Phi Phi Island where he became a PADI OWSI. Then in October 2012 he crossed over to SSI and worked his way up to the high level of SSI Instructor Trainer by June 2014. For two of the nine years he was in Koh Phi Phi he owned and managed a bar and had a break from diving which only made he realise that he missed it and loved it so much.
Daniel can teach many different levels from Scuba Rangers, recreational levels and professional levels.
